Wine
vessel, early West Zhou period (11th Century B.C.). Overall height 22cm
(8.8 inches), 17.3cm (6.92 inches) in width, and 880g (1.94 pounds) in
weight. The drinking channel is wide, and shaped like a hat. The middle
waist is slightly narrower, with three legs shaped like swords. Both the
drinking duct and vessel body are decorated with phoenix prints. The piece
is now kept in the Palace Museum in Beijing, China.
